Original Top Gear Cast Back with The Grand Tour
The official trailer was just released for a new Amazon original series, The Grand Tour. It is an Amazon Video exclusive hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and produced by Any Wilman. They agreed to produce the series following their departures from the BBC's Top Gear last year. Amazon has signed for 3 seasons of 12 episodes each with options to continue if the series is successful. The Grand Tour will be filmed across the world in their "Cross Country Tent Studio". It's a massive military style tent that takes a few days to setup. This allows the show to be filmed all over the world, hence the name "The Grand Tour". The show will start airing November 18th 2016 on a weekly basis. Journalist who've seen some sneak peaks of the show say "it's impressive to see these guys off the BBC's leash which makes for a great motoring show".
The series is being filmed with 4k Ultra HD camera's which will make for some spectacular shots. Each episode is expected to run around 60 minutes, but editors have said it's been tough for them to cut down on scenes because they're all so good. That is some exciting news for Top Gear fans that miss Jeremy, Richard and James. If you do not have Amazon Prime, you can sign up for a free trial here.
