1180 RWHP 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Serious Autosport in West Palm Beach, FL recently built a 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The 5.8-liter V8 engine was built by MPR Racing built that's boosted with a 4.5-liter Whipple supercharger. Just in case that's not enough power there is an additional 150 shot of NX Nitrous Express. The exhaust starts with a set of 2-inch primaries American Racing Headers and 3-inch dual exhaust that exit out of two Borla mufflers. All this power is pushed through a McLeod RST dual disc clutch and into a Level VII TR6060 from RPM Transmissions. The rearend is a 9-inch 3.73 gear with Moser Wavetrac Limited Slip which will stand up to some beatings for along time. The original stock wheels are wrapped in Nitto 555R 305/35/20 Drag radials with 265/40/19 555 up front. To protect this it has a Python 2 way alarm with tracking and iPhone notification in the event of anyone getting the wrong idea.
Check out the video below that shows how this Mustang Shelby GT500 makes it's 1,180 rear wheel horsepower along with a punch of "test hits" on the street. The driver of Serious Autosports explains all the ins and outs of the car including it's "Twin Dicks" clutch setup!
